A unique additional property of glass is that it may well “sparkle” a little (natural reflection of light). However, there may be specific requirements for the reflection of the glass.
Anti reflective, extra clear glass
How does it work?
Glass reflects light, which we also call 'the light reflection of the glass'. Usually we don't find this disturbing, but sometimes we actually want the glass to be totally invisible. In that case, it is all about ultimate visibility of what is behind the glass.
Anti reflective glass can be the solution here. Glass surfaces coated with a special coating minimises reflection to almost nothing! Moreover, so-called "low-iron" is used as the base glass, so that the light-green tinge common in glass is also virtually eliminated.
How to choose the right glass?
Applications of anti reflective glass include display cases and shop windows but also glass at exhibitions and in showcases. Anti reflective glass can be laminated , thus injury-resistant, and can be burglar-retardant, or in insulating glass. Sometimes several, different, glass features need to be linked together.
